I strive to create a safe and supportive space for individuals and partners to explore their inner worlds and develop the skills to find self-acceptance

As a therapist for individuals and partners (monogamous and non-monogamous), I strive to create a safe and supportive space for you to explore your inner worlds. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for over a decade in the federal government, as a Foreign Affairs Officer and in the field of international education. I struggled with anxiety, ADHD and depression, and after finally reaching burnout, I started my own healing journey. I discovered my passion to serve others in they path to healing through therapy. I have a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and a Masters in Arabic Language from the University of Maryland, College Park. I have lived in Cairo, Beirut, Damascus, Aleppo, Irbid, and New York City. I am Muslim and was initially drawn to study Arabic as part of my Islamic studies. Although Islam is a major part of my spirituality, I consider myself to be a perennialist and honor all pathways regardless of religion or non-religion. Most of all, I believe everyone is worthy of love and acceptance.

In my individual therapy work, I utilize an integrative approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing to create a holistic approach to mental health and well-being. Additionally, I offer psychedelic harm reduction and integration work and offer free gender affirming surgery letters. My primary focus areas are anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and healthy masculinity. As a relationship or couples therapist, I utilize Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) tools to help couples work through their issues and strengthen their bond. I love working on relationship dynamics! I find it incredibly rewarding to witness the positive changes that can take place between partners in sessions. Oftentimes, this involves providing tools to communicate more effectively, resolve conflicts in a healthy way, and building comfort with our sexuality. Together, we will explore your individual and collective needs, boundaries, and values.
